Google PageSpeed scores for a store Seefon optimized

Real case. These are Google PageSpeed Insights scores, not a Seefon score, and they vary a little from run to run. We have no report from before the work, so this shows where the store stood that day, not an improvement, and it says nothing about the store's business results. Seefon's own health check also looks at product descriptions, images and the theme.

A real store audit: conversion, UX and SEO

A CRO / UX / SEO audit Seefon produced for a client's store, a Shopify shop selling Nordic-style art and home decor. Anything that could identify the client is redacted.

Pages reviewed

Findings
P0 11 fix nowP1 9 high priorityP2 4 nice to have

Conclusion

The site has a decent Nordic home-decor look, but it still shows a lot of leftover Shopify template content, broken content and contradictory shopping information. The biggest problem is not that the style isn't "premium enough". It's that visitors can't quickly understand what the store is, and can't confirm delivery, returns or that the seller is real. The first job is a pre-launch clean-up and making the shopping information consistent. Visual polish and advertising come after that.

4 of the findings

  1. P0 #1The first screen doesn't say what is sold, to whom, or why

    Current problem
The hero only has three English brand slogans (████ / ████ / ████). It reads like a mood page: you can't tell whether the store sells original art, lighting or general home goods.
    Why it hurts conversion
Visitors from ads or search have to guess. They can't judge relevance within 3–5 seconds, which pushes up the bounce rate.
    What to change
Make the single H1 one sentence that states the category and the customer, with a subtitle on what is sold and how it's chosen. Use clear CTAs (“Shop the Collection”, “Explore Original Art”) and add a trust bar under the hero: tracked delivery, 14-day returns, secure checkout, insured fragile shipping.
  2. P0 #3The FAQ is uncleaned theme template content

    Current problem
The FAQ is a third-party theme template's default FAQ: whether the template works with Shopify, downloading the theme ZIP, creating a staff account, plus a dummy email address and links to the theme vendor's support.
    Why it hurts conversion
This is the strongest “unfinished site” signal there is, and it may even make visitors think there is an account security risk.
    What to change
Take it down now and replace it with real questions: delivery times and duties, fragile-item packaging, provenance and certificates, lighting voltage and installation, returns, and custom orders.
  3. P0 #4Three contradictory thresholds for included shipping

    Current problem
The product page says shipping is included over $████, the refund policy says it is included for US orders over $████, and the cart implies a third, higher threshold (exact amounts redacted).
    Why it hurts conversion
Shipping cost is a key risk right before paying. Conflicting thresholds make visitors doubt the final price and abandon the purchase.
    What to change
Use one threshold in the Shopify shipping settings, the theme's progress bar, the product page and the policies. State currency, delivery times, tracking, duties and exceptions per country, and test with US, Canadian, UK and Australian addresses before launch.
  4. P1 #19Weak SEO basics

    Current problem
The home page title is just the store name (████), with no meta description. The H1 is a logo image with no text, About has no H1, and 8 of 15 home page images have no alt text.
    Why it hurts conversion
Search engines struggle to understand what the site is about, category searches have no clear landing page, and accessibility and image search suffer too.
    What to change
Write the title as “core category keywords | store name”, add a description of about 150 characters and keep one text H1. Give collections their own intro and meta tags, add Breadcrumb, Product and Organization schema, and check indexing in Search Console.
